Batrisyia Izzaty – Contemporary Artist & Art Teacher. 
BATRISYIA IZZATY was born on 14 December, she was born in Seremban Negeri Sembilan and now living in Kuantan Pahang, Malaysia. After finishing high school at Methodist Girls School Kuantan Pahang. Batrisyia became acquainted with the arts when she was 17 years old. She went to art classes at Kuantan Pahang for three months before sitting for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia. And from that moment, she began to take an interest in art. Batrisyia’s first medium was watercolor.
After finishing high school Batrisyia continued her studies in Fine Arts of the Faculty of Art and Design in UiTM Seri Iskandar Perak in 2016 and graduated in 2018. In the year 2019, she continued her degree at UiTM Shah Alam in Fine Arts and finished her degree in February 2021. She has traveled for practical training for three months at Saung Banon Arts in Yogyakarta Indonesia. She has joined several art show competitions including Arts Against Aid, Usaha Tegas Heritage, and held and managed Art & Idea Exhibition in 2019.
During her diploma, she studied the basics of painting, printmaking, sculpture, and drawing. When she was in degree Batrisyia chose to major in painting. And she has been introduced to several styles such as expressionist, cubist, surrealist, and abstract in the creation of her artwork.
The obstacle of her art journey is to find her individuality and originality in the artwork making. Batrisyia went through several phases in discovering her style by sketching and trying different types of mediums and techniques. And she has decided to use naive figures as her subject to portray messages, ideas, and statements that she wants to convey. Batrisyia is a full-time children’s art teacher, the naive style was inspired by observing the children’s naïve drawings. She felt that children always create something unique, playful, symbolic, and original. It encouraged her to visualize her own representative figure.
The themes of her paintings are methodology, identity, expression, and value. Batrisyia likes and appreciates the symbolism and meaning behind the customs and practices of the culture in Malaysia.
Now Batrisyia is a painter and teacher. After finishing her studies, Batrisyia becomes a full-time children’s art teacher and a part-time solo artist. On March 26, 2021, Batrisyia opened her first business and established Right Brainer Art & Gallery.
